1. Sub-base Compaction & Settlement
Calculated quantities for aggregate materials (such as #57 crushed limestone, crusher run base, bank-run gravel, and topsoil) are based on loose quarry volumetric weight tables. Compaction under heavy mechanical rollers or vibrating plates will routinely reduce material volume by 15% to 25%. Always order with appropriate safety allowances.
2. Formwork Deflection & Site Irregularities
Concrete slab calculations assume rigid, laser-flat subgrades and rigid perimeter form boards. In field practice, subgrade un-evenness, slight dips, form deflection under hydrostatic wet concrete pressure, and pump line washout will result in a 5% to 10% volume overrun.
3. Local Building Codes & Frost Line Variations
Continuous footings, deck post piers, and Sonotube cylinder calculations must satisfy your local municipal jurisdiction's building inspector guidelines. Frost lines range from 0 inches in Florida to 60+ inches in Minnesota and Maine. Always verify local code requirements before excavation.
4. Limitation of Professional Liability
Taandc Tools Network and its operators expressly disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages resulting from calculation variances, project delays, supplier discrepancies, or structural construction errors.
